We will also need all your parents to attend so they can be imformed about the trip and pay for the trip.
Congratulations to our 2010-2011 Pitt Pirate Drive Team. For Driver we have John Tinker, for our Special Function we have Rachel Daniels, and for our Payload specialist we have John Bell. For Drivers we are planning a Practice on Sunday March the 6th. Please contact Raj if you have any problems With not being there.
We’ll the Robot is in the bag. Literally, it’s in a big plastic bag for the Bag-N-Tag shipping method. We can’t work on it or open the bag till we get to DC on March 24! But we still need to work on the crate, the pit area, minibot and strategy. We’ll take a couple days off to let people catch up and we’ll start meeting this weekend. Friday night 6:30 – 9 PM, Saturday from 10 -4PM and Sunday from 1-4 PM. Pass the word. Go Pirates!
All students need to be in room 416 (South Central) at 3:30 for the unveiling Saturday, Feb 19th. I have T-shirts for all of you. If you are unable to attend on Sat. please let me know as soon as possible. See you on Saturday. Student leaders: please contact me tomorrow. You will be presenting at the unveiling.
This Sunday, 2/6, we won’t have a regular build meeting. The Pitt Pirates are going to host the other local teams and the Lead Robot Inspector (Mr. Lee Barger) at the shop. Mr. Barger will be going over routine inspection and helping the new teams to clear this hurdle at competition.
This is from 2p – 5p at the shop. We won’t need a large contingent of builders. We’ll need team leaders there the learn about the inspection and assist. Other folks, take the afternoon off and we’ll see you back again on Monday night 2/7.
Mr. Bill
