Thanks for coming out to demo the robot and talk to folks at the PotashCorp Fossil Festival yesterday! People really enjoyed seeing the robot and meeting you. PotashCorp has been an important sponsor for us and this helps to strengthen that relationship. Next event is the cookout. That will be at South Central at 6:30 on Tuesday night, May 29. We’ll meet in the cafeteria in the back corner of the school. See you there!

Here are the folks who signed up to go with us to the Fossil Festival in Aurora. Courtney Lommatzsch, Abdul Jabr, Anisha Patel, Sunny Le, John Tinker, Cameron Tinker, Kyle Schmidt, Lucas Gresham, Jordan Coleman, and Gabe Gomez-Bush. Bradley Baker and Forest Karriker were “Maybes.” If you’re on this list, please be at the shop by 9:00a ready to go. Wear your Pitt Pirates green T-shirt. It takes 1 hour to get to Aurora and we need to set up and be ready to go at 10:00. We’ll be there till 3:00 PM and head home. Contact me or Mrs. McClung if you have questions.

Thanks for coming out to talk about future plans for the Pitt Pirates. We have two More group events in May. On May 26, we’re going to take Naismith out to Aurora to show at the Fossil Festival. If you volunteered, we’ll be in touch with the exact plans this week. We will have our Final Cookout at South Central on Tuesday (5/29) from 6:30 to 8:30. We’ll have sponsors there too so we can thank them for their generosity. Be sure to check the calendar for tech meeting nights during June, July and August. More details to follow.
