Week Four Review

Anna BelowBuild Season, General

"Wi-Fi?!?!?"

"Anyone on PublicWLAN?"

"Anyone on SecureWLAN?"

"Anyone? Bueller?"

"Wi-Fi D-O-W-N!"

The Wi-Fi has given the Pitt Pirates lots of woes the past two weeks in the shop! As more and more sub teams are reliant on the sweet, sweet elixir called the Internet, the limits of its capabilities have been tested. Due to the technical issues, members have had to adapt their jobs and positions in the shop to get the access they need. Marketing and Design have moved out into the main shop, with minimal improvement.  Many computer heavy teams have been forced to resort to using hotspots on their phones to keep connected during their time in the shop. However, Programming has stayed tight in the trailer with their coveted Wi-Fi booster. Lucky, Coding Pirates!

Despite the technical troubles (a.k.a first world problems), the Pirates still enjoyed the week in the shop. Daphne, Social Media Team Lead, said, "Robotics was fun as always!" Some people also made amazing progress this week, such as one of our Junior Mentors, Meghan Lower. This week she helped to facilitate our team newsletter and a SWENext Spotlight post!

With only two weeks left in the build season, these Pirates are working hard to get everything done with or without the help of the Internet!
