Great Job in DC and Gracious Professionalism.

Pitt Pirates. We had a tough run in DC. The competition was stiff and we really didn’t shine on the field like we had hoped. HOWEVER ….. I’m most impressed by how we shone OFF the field. We DID bring home the UL Industrial Safety award (Again!) and we are very proud of our safety team for all their hard work. There were a lot of other things to cheer about. Our drive team was a model of gracious professionalism. The pit crew repaired everything we brought to them with time to spare and that was A LOT. The scouting team turned in an amazing amout of data that we could share with other teams on-line. The spirit crew kept up the energy for all three days and really got us connected with the other teams. We demonstrated the Roboxsumo bots to several hundred new people and we made a bunch of great new friends and connections from around the FRC community. Other than that, I can’t think of anything good that came out of this weekend.  ;)Pirates, this is the way to show folks what a motivated and amazing group you are. You demonstrated determinatation and perserverence under tough circumstances. I am very proud of you. That, my friends, is the best way to demonstrate the ideals of FIRST. Make sure you bring that moxie with you to St Louis. It’s going to be awesome.
